pg.38 2nd soliloquy

Hamlet is anxious for which he has just found out the guards have seen King Hamlets ghost. After Horatio, Marcellus, and Barnardo leave, Hamlet expresses what's on his mind. " My father's spirit in arms. All is not well. I doubt some foul play. Would the night were come! till then sit still, my soul. Foul deeds will rise, Though all the earth o' erwhelm them, to men's eyes." Now all Hamlet can do is wait until the time between eleven, and twelve at night.

10.25.10 hamlet

1. In pages 10-12 the book talks about King hamlet, and King Fortinbra. They were rivals, and while battling each other, Hamlet killed Fortinbra. The guards were discussing this because they were trying to figure out why their schedule is so strict. The ghost ends up coming back towards the end of page 12.

2. inverted syntax: "walks o'er the dew of yon high eastward hill"

Claudia Gonzalez's project was really good. She did a collage and a poem. The collage was really creative and looked great.

Rachel Tran drew a picture of Jack holding a devil looking mask. It was a very nice drawing and very creative.

Kevin and Bridgets poem was so good. The tone was powerful, especially at the end. They performed it in front of the class, which made i even better.

vocab poem

Some people in this world tend to be so strident
Then they want to come to my shoulder and vent
That's funny 'cause they must think I'm ludicrous
groveling on my door step, hope they know I'm going to diss.

woman writers

When I read literature, I don't tend to base their writing styles on their sex, but now that i've thought about more I do see some differences. I think both women and men can choose the same topics, although one may understand another one better. If a book is about mostly about woman, I like to read it from a man, just to see their perspective on things. But for the most part, it doesn't matter to me.

dear Norman Mailer: kaycee and ebony

Dear Norman Mailer,

I feel as you you don’t have respect for woman. You feel superior to us lady’s, but in reality you have no idea. Maybe if you would have the balls to read my books, you would change your view on woman authors. So are you saying that you believe out of since children, if a daughter of yours wanted to pursue the dream of being an author, she would have to be a whore? I am not a heartless person, so I respect your opinions, I just strongly disagree. I may not be sane, but I have more sense then you. I feel that you should be open-minded, but who am I to change you.

Yours truly,

Virginia Wolfe

similarities

The similarities between Ethan Frome and The Story of an Hour is Ethan is in a happy place when wife is not with him, and Mrs. Mallard is happy when her husband is gone. Both of these stories are tragic tales.
